Woman Journalist Attacked While Out For Evening Walk

New Delhi: A freelance journalist was attacked by an unidentified person at a public park in northwest Delhi’s Ashok Vihar on Wednesday.

The incident happened last evening and she is currently admitted in Fortis Hospital in a serious condition.

Aparna Kalra, 45, had gone out for a walk at a park near her home around 6 pm, like most other evenings. At 7.30 pm her family received a call from police that Kalra was admitted to Deep Chand Hospital.

So far, no eyewitnesses have come forward and her family members are also clueless about any possible motive, police said.
