Workshop on Informal Education

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala State Literacy Mission Authority will conduct a workshop to prepare a draft which reflects the Government’s policy and outlook on informal education, on March 28 at Chaithram Hotel here. Education Minister P K Abdu Rabb would inaugurate the workshop at 9.30 am, which would be presided over by Palode Ravi MLA.  Panchayats and Social Welfare Minister M K Muneer would deliver the valedictory speech.“Fifty persons who proved their mettle in administration, general education, informal education and social work would participate in the workshop,” said Prof P Alassankutty, Director, Literacy Mission, in a press conference here on Monday. He also said that the draft would be a comprehensive one  including the activities which the Literacy Mission would be carrying out in the coming years through Continuing Education Centres.Joint Director Prof R Sasikumar and Assistant Directors Dr K Soman and K Ayyappan Nair, among others, were present.
