New Delhi: Internet firm Yahoo India's mail service is now available in eight Indian regional languages, including Hindi and Bengali, a move that will enhance the communication capabilities of online users.
Apart from Hindi and Bengali, the latest version of Yahoo Mail now comes in languages such as Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi and Gujarati. "Yahoo India... announced the availability of the latest version of Yahoo Mail in eight new regional languages: Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali, Marathi and Gujarati," the firm said in a statement.
The latest Yahoo Mail version is also available in 22 new languages. As per the statement, the service was rolled out simultaneously in 27 new markets, including 16 new countries, taking the total number of languages in which Yahoo Mail is available to 46 in 70 markets worldwide.
Yahoo Mail delivers a much faster, safer and easier online communications experience, the company said. "Yahoo India aims to deliver relevant, personal, compelling experiences and reaching our users in their native languages is a major way to deliver all the benefits of Yahoo Mail," it added.
The new version comes with various features like applications that help people be more productive and organised. In addition, users can reply instantly to messages from contacts on their Facebook, Yahoo Groups and Yahoo Mail accounts, besides other email providers, through a new reply bar. Furthermore, the new "update tab" allows people to view and share notifications and updates from social networking sites Twitter, Facebook and Zynga.
