BTS: RM and V Pose In Military Uniforms In FIRST Pictures After Enlistment | Photos

A day after BTS leader RM entered the military for mandatory service, the globally popular K-pop singer took to his Instagram handle on Tuesday, to drop his first pictures. In the photos, RM was seen posing in the military uniform. In one of the pictures, he was also joined by his group member V aka Kim Taehyung. In the caption of his post, RM wrote “충성!” which translates to “loyalty” in English.

The photos come just a day after RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook entered the military for mandatory service. In a statement shared on the fan community forum Weverse, BigHit Music said, “Thanks to your kind consideration and support this past December, BTS members RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook have entered the military and will soon be performing their duties at the training camp. Thank you for your interest and support on their enlistment day.”

The agency further requested ARMYs from across the world not to send gifts to K-pop singers during their military time. The military barracks are communal spaces shared by military personnel for training together. If a large number of letters and gifts from the fans arrive at the center all at once, it would be difficult to store them and they could be easily lost. Therefore, we kindly ask that fans refrain from sending anything by mail,” the statement read.

“We ask for your continued love and support for the BTS members until they complete their service and return. Our company will also strive to provide every support they need during this time,” it said.

BTS, which debuted in 2013, had announced their hiatus in June 2022. Previously, BTS members Jin, J-hope and Suga also started their military services. In South Korea, all able-bodied men between the age of 18 and 28 years are required to serve in the military for about two years.
