Tara Sutaria looked like a perfect contemporary bride as she turned muse for fashion designer Sanjev Marwaaha. The Ek Villain Returns star adorned a radiant cherry red ensemble featuring a lehenga skirt paired with a bustier adorned with sequins. The look was completed with a matching dupatta neatly draped around her neck.
With the onset of the wedding season, the lehenga Tara wore is minimalist and a perfect ensemble to adorn for the wedding and festive season. Tara who is dating Adar Jain, when asked if the outfit she was wearing made her feel wedding ready? “I’m wearing this very comfortable and equally gorgeous lehenga which I think I’m going to wear at a wedding, I’m going to attend very soon,” shares Tara.
Slaying the desi girl look in a comfortable yet stylish lehenga, Tara says, “I’m wearing this beautiful creation of Sanjev Marwaaha, and I’m definitely going to buy couple of looks for my upcoming festive and wedding season.”
An epitome of style, Tara’s fashion choices have always been a perfect balance of comfort chic and glamour. Be it her desi avatar or her casual attire, the Student of Year 2 star’s style quotient has been an extension of herself. When asked who she looks up to when it comes to style, Tara says, “I love and idolise Elizabeth Taylor in terms of fashion and style.”
Commenting about the ensemble adorned by Tara, Sanjev Marwaaha says, “Tara wore a nice light, easy breezy lehenga. When we think of a lehenga we always think of a heavy garment, but this is light, comfortable, wearable and a timeless design.”
Apart from the contemporary silhouette adorned by Tara, the collection Hunar, a homage to India’s rich artisanal heritage and hand-crafted luxury, also features fluid sarees, ornate kalidar kurtas and various fusion ensembles perfect for the modern bride.
Foraying into menswear, Sanjev has something for the grooms as well. “We have worked with tonal hand embroidery with a contemporary twist. As we are more inclined towards geometrics and have utilised them very aesthetically, a modern twist to the conventional bundi set is just apt for the season,” adds Sanjev.
