Anshuka Parwani, a popular yoga trainer to Bollywood celebrities like Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor, often shares yoga and health-related tips on her social media handle. The trainer recently posted a video on the photo-sharing application wherein she shared the benefits of Vajrasana. And we are sure, it will motivate you to grab your mat and start practicing.
In the short video, Anshuka can be seen kneeling on the yoga mat with her palms on her knees and her feet positioned together. Sharing the video, the fitness enthusiast mentioned the benefits of this particular asana. “Vajrasana, also known as thunderbolt or diamond pose, is a kneeling asana that helps to strengthen the pelvic, thigh and leg muscles and ease menstrual cramps,” she wrote in her caption. She further informed that Vajrasana is great for digestion. It also improves posture and sleep and keeps blood sugar levels under control.
Her caption also included an important safety tip. It read, “While this is an easy pose to perform, if you are suffering from any knee or spinal cord issues, please avoid practicing this asana”.
