Malayalam actress Malavika Mohanan knows how to give a befitting reply to trolls. Recently, she hosted a Q&A session with her followers on her X (formerly Twitter) profile. She didn’t entertain any nonsense and responded appropriately. At times, she was also seen responding with humour to trolls criticising her. When one user asked her in Tamil when she would attend an acting class, Malavika responded, “I’ll go the day you become relevant in some form and then ask me the same question.”

When asked if she had pierced her navel, she responded, “Our intentions are different. You’re looking for something else, while I want an intellectually stimulating conversation. We’re not on the same page.”

Malavika responded to a user’s question about when she would stop doing glamour shows by saying, “Never. Got a problem with that?” In response to another inquiry about why she always does glamorous photoshoots, she simply stated, “Because I like to. Simple :)”

When a fan inquired about her experience during the first four months of 2024, the actor described them as mediocre, expressing hope for improvement soon. She asked her followers about their own experiences of the year so far. Another person asked about her marriage plans, to which she responded, “Why are you in a rush to see me married?.”

Malavika also shared her experience working on Pa Ranjith’s upcoming film Thangalaan, starring Chiyaan Vikram. She expressed her enjoyment, stating, “I always wanted to venture into action, and with #thangalaan, I got the chance to do just that.” She mentioned her desire to explore softer roles, expressing interest in doing a romantic film soon.

She also noted, “Thangalaan focuses more on its story than on mindless action, keeping viewers engaged. The action scenes blend seamlessly into the narrative, avoiding clichés.”

Malavika will soon star as the female lead in Thangalaan, set for release sometime this year. The film, set during British rule in India, follows Thangalaan, a tribal leader, as he bravely fights against the British who want to take his land for gold mining. She is set to make her Telugu debut in Maruthi’s The Raja Saab, alongside Prabhas, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar. The release dates for both films are yet to be announced.
