Do you know some of our favourite names from the film industry did not even start out as an actor? They were involved in other careers, but life simply took its own course and led them to stardom. One leading actress from the South film industry is a great example. She almost became a doctor. We are talking about Sai Pallavi, a prominent name in South films. She debuted as an actress in 2015. Many people may not know that in 2016, she completed her MBBS from Tbilisi State Medical University, located in Georgia, Europe. In 2020, she qualified the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE), in Trichy. She did not register herself as a medical practitioner.
Sai Pallavi made her debut in the film industry with the Malayalam film Premam, which was released in 2015. The film was directed as well as written by Alphonse Puthren. It starred Nivin Pauly and Sai Pallavi as the protagonists, who were supported by Madonna Sebastian, Anupama Parameswaran, Shabareesh Varma, Krishna Sankar and Siju Wilson among others. Anwar Rasheed produced the film under the banner of Anwar Rasheed Entertainments, while the cinematography was done by Anend C Chandran and the editor is Alphonse Puthren. Prior to this, she worked in two Tamil releases titled, Kasthuri Maan and Dhaam Dhoom, in uncredited roles.
Since then, she has worked in numerous superhits like Kali, Fidaa, Middle Class Abbayi, Shyam Singha Roy, and Paava Kadhaigal.
Sai Pallavi was last seen in the legal drama titled Gargi, which is directed by Gautham Ramachandran and released in 2022. She was seen in the titular role along with Kaali Venkat, R S Shivaji and Saravanan. The film is made under the banner of Blacky, Genie & My Left Foot Productions.
Some of the actress’ upcoming works include the film Thandel, Amaran and Ramayana. In Ramayana, she is set to portray the role of Sita opposite Ranbir Kapoor, who is portraying Lord Ram. It is being helmed by Nitesh Tiwari.
