Recap: Kajol and Karan Johar’s fight
In 2016, the clash between actress Kajol and filmmaker Karan Johar hit the headlines. The drama erupted when Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay squared off at the Diwali box office. The feud intensified when Ajay Devgn revealed parts of a phone call where film critic Kamal R. Khan alleged that Karan had paid him Rs 25 lakh for a positive review of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Khan later claimed Karan never paid him, just trying to wrap up the conversation with Kumar Mangat, co-producer of Shivaay. Kajol, appearing to support her husband, tweeted that she was shocked, which didn’t sit well with Karan Johar. As a result, Karan devoted an entire chapter to their strained relationship in his autobiography, An Unsuitable Boy.
