What better way to celebrate the joyous occasion of Raksha Bandhan than to spend time with siblings, cousins and loved ones. Filmmaker Karan Johar, who's a now a proud parent to surrogate twins, decided to surprise his fans and make the day, even more, better for them.
He took to Instagram and shared a photograph of his little munchkins - Roohi and Yash. It's the first time that the filmmaker decided to introduce his little wonders to the world of social media. He wrote, "6 months old today....#roohiandyash #happyrakshabandhan #lovesofmylife❤️"
Ever since they were born, there has been a certain curiosity surrounding them and Karan couldn't have timed the photograph better.
In the photograph shared, Roohi and Yash seem content as they rest in their grandmother's arms. In fact, Karan being the family man that he is, named his kids after his parents - Hiroo and Yash.
It seems Karan is thoroughly enjoying his new phase and now that he's officially made his kids' social media debut, it'll be interesting to see all that he shares in future.
The twins were born in February this year through surrogacy but the news was revealed to the world only on March 5. In a long post on Twitter, Karan shared his excitement on being "enormously blessed to be a parent." The daughter has been named Roohi - a rearrangement of Karan's mother's name Hiroo and the son has been christened Yash - on Karan's late father's name.
