The team of the much-acclaimed Kannada film Daredevil Mustafa, which was released last year, recently completed one year on May 19. On this occasion, the makers have launched a book based on the film’s making.
According to reports, the book comprises the complete screenplay of the film and selected reviews. It is titled Daredevil Mustafa Chitrakathe Mattu Vimarshegalu and was released on Sunday, May 19. The making of the film was also screened at the event, and it was attended by the whole team of Daredevil Mustafa.
Meanwhile, recently, in a media interaction, director Shashank Soghal shared, “We had extended Tejaswi’s story for the film, and many people had told us they would like to read it as a novel. So we came up with the idea of publishing the screenplay of the story. I enjoy reading film books, so I wanted to document my film as well.”
Reports suggest that the first part of the book will have the screenplay along with dialogue, and the second part will feature reviews of the film by leading newspapers, magazines, and selected reviews from social media.
Daredevil Musthafa is a Kannada comedy-drama film directed by debutant Shashank Soghal. The film is based on Poornachandra Tejaswi’s short story of the same name from the Abachoorina Post Office. Over 100 Tejaswi fans backed the project.
The movie features Shishir Baikady, Aditya Ashree, Abhay, Supreeth Bharadwaj, Aashith, Srivatsa, Prerana, MS Umesh, Mandya Ramesh, Mysore Anand, Sunder Veena, Harini Srikanth, Nagabhushana, Poornachandra Mysuru, Vijay Shobhraj, Chaithra Shetty, Karthik Pattar, Krishnegowda, and Mahadeva Prasad in the pivotal roles.
Daredevil Mustafa evolves around the goal of Ramanuja Iyengari (Aditya Ashree) and his gang, which is to expel Musthafa (Shishir Baikady) from the college. Following a series of interesting adventures, everyone’s fate will be determined in an exciting cricket match.
The movie was filmed at Hardwick High School and College, with additional scenes shot at Melukote and Madikeri. The filming was completed within sixty days. Rahul Roy did the film’s cinematography, while Rahul Roy, along with Sharath Vashisht, and Harish Komme also edited the movie.
Navaneeth Sham composed the music for the film, which was published under the PRK audio label.
