Nitesh Tiwari Takes DRASTIC Step After Ramayana Set Photos of Lara Dutta, Arun Govil's Look Leak
Nitesh Tiwari is reportedly adopting a 'no phones' policy on the set of Ranbir Kapoor starrer Ramayana.

Days after Nitesh Tiwari started shooting for his upcoming movie, Ramayana, the first set videos surfaced on social media. Recently, actress Akruti Singh took to her Instagram stories and shared a video from the film’s grand Ayodhya set in Mumbai. Later, photos of Lara Dutta and Arun Govil from the sets have been leaked. Now, director Nitesh Tiwari has taken a drastic step to combat these measures.

According to a report by India Today, director Nitesh Tiwari is quite upset with the leak and thus, a “strict no-phone policy has been imposed on the set”. The director has also mandated that extra staff and crew be off the set when the shooting begins. As per the report, only required actors and technicians can be on set.

For those who don’t know, Zoom obtained some pictures from the sets of Ramayana which featured Lara Dutta and Arun Govil in their respective characters. Arun Govil, popularly known for playing the role of Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana, will be stepping into the shoes of King Dashrath in the movie. On the other hand, Lara Dutta will be seen as Kaikeyi.

In the leaked photos, Arun Govil was seen interacting with some young boys on sets. He sported a long beard and a mukut on his head. Lara Dutta was seen in a saree which she accessorised with heavy gold jewellery.

For the unversed, Ranbir Kapoor will be playing the role of Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. Sai Pallavi has been roped in for the role of Sita. Prior to Sai, Ranbir’s actress-wife, Alia Bhatt was in talks for the role of Sita but she backed out due to dates-related issues.

KGF star Yash is likely to play Ravana in the movie whereas Sunny Deol has reportedly been locked for the role of Hanuman. Bobby Deol and Vijay Sethupathi are also reportedly in talks for the roles of Kumbhakarna and Vibhashana respectively.

Reportedly, makers are planning to release Ramayana on Diwali 2025. However, there is no official confirmation regarding this as of now.
