Janhvi Kapoor and Shikhar Pahariya, who are no longer keeping their relationship under wraps, have been frequently making headlines with public outings, from temple visits to attending high-profile events. However, there was a time when Janhvi made a surprising declaration about her romantic life. During a guest appearance on Netflix’s The Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives, Jahnvi visited her aunt Maheep Kapoor for lunch.
In a candid moment on the show, she shared her thoughts on relationships with her 14-year-old cousin, Jahaan Kapoor, suggesting he go on a date on Valentine’s Day. Janhvi stressed the importance of respecting women and valuing commitment. “You must respect women. Commitment is sacred, as is being in a relationship. Make her laugh. Be loyal,” Janhvi told her cousin.
Amid this, Janhvi also shared with her sister Shanaya Kapoor that she decided to remain single for a period. “I have taken a vow to be by myself…” Janhvi said. When Shanaya enquired if this meant a lifelong decision, Janhvi clarified that she intended to remain single for at least the next two years.
When her aunt Maheep asked about the reason behind her decision, Janhvi provided a candid response. She stated that she felt “no one deserves my company.” Shanaya supported her sister’s viewpoint with a high-five, while Maheep nodded in agreement, calling it a “good answer.”
Janhvi has been in a relationship with Shikhar for a while now. She kind of confirmed this during her appearance on talk show Koffee With Karan Season 8, where she accidently mentioned his name during a rapid-fire segment. Also, at the premiere of Maidaan, she was seen wearing a necklace that had ‘Shikhu’ on it, further confirming their relationship.
On the professional front, Janhvi is preparing for the release of her highly anticipated film Devara: Part 1 where she stars alongside Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan. Directed by Koratala Siva, the movie is set to hit theatres on September 27. She was also seen recently in Uljah alongside Gulshan Devaiah and in Mr. & Mrs. Mahi opposite Rajkummar Rao.
Additionally, Janhvi has been working on a romantic-comedy titled Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari with Varun Dhawan. Other cast members include Akshay Oberoi, Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film is being produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. As per a report by Mid-Day, the cast has commenced the shooting in Udaipur.
