Much has been written and spoken about the recent spat between Kapil Sharma and his colleague Sunil Grover on a flight. The tiff sparked a debate on social media and many believed that Grover had decided to exit The Kapil Sharma Show post the fight.
Soon after the news of Grover quitting came, the rumour mill was abuzz that actors Ali Asgar and Chandan Prabhakar, too, were leaving the show. But sources close to the channel have denied all such reports.
"None of the artists are quitting the show," the source said.
They further clarified that the co-actors' absence from the recent shoot had nothing to do with the fallout. Ali Asgar and Sunil Grover had prior commitments in Chandigarh and Chandan Prabhakar wasn't meant to be a part of the finale show, the sources revealed.
"Ali Asgar and Sunil Grover had shows in Chandigarh and that's why they were missing Kapil's show recently. It was decided earlier. Chandan Prabhakar is on and off on the show - he was not a part for the episode shot on Monday. It has nothing to do with the recent fallout," they said.
Sharma and Grover got involved in a feud mid-air. The two comedians then got into a war of words on Twitter causing speculations on what exactly had transpired on that flight. Allegedly a drunk Kapil Sharma hurled abuses at a team member and as Grover stepped in to stop him, Sharma ended up slapping him.
