Thalapathy Vijay Felicitates Class 10, 12 Tamil Nadu Board Toppers In Chennai
As many as 800 students, along with their parents and siblings who secured the top positions in the Class 10 and 12 examinations, were invited.

The renowned actor and founder of Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), Thalapathy Vijay, continued his tradition of honouring the Class 10 and 12 meritorious students on Friday, June 28. The facilitation ceremony took place at a Convention Centre in Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai.

The results for Tamil Nadu Board Examinations of Intermediate and High School were released on May 6 and May 10 respectively. Last year, Thalapathy Vijay honoured the students who secured the top three positions in the class 10th and 12th Board examinations. After announcing the launch of a political party, anticipation also increased as actor Vijay presented the award this year as the president of the Tamil Nadu Vetri Kazhagam.

The award ceremony was announced in two phases. 800 students along with their parents and siblings who secured the top positions in the Class 10 and 12 examinations in 21 districts and assembly constituencies were invited. Thalapathy Vijay was given a grand welcome as he arrived at the facilitation venue.

The actor sat near Chinnadurai, a student who passed the intermediate examination while suffering from caste violence in Nellai. Vijay discussed with Chinnadurai and took a photo with him.

One of the honoured students expressed his gratitude and said that it is motivating to him and his family. During the event, the actor shared a heartfelt note while addressing the gathered students and their families. He asked students to consider becoming leaders after acquiring an education. “Don’t you want an educated person to become your leader?” asked Thalapathy Vijay. He advised the students to choose their favourite department and work with full commitment. He also encouraged them to take politics as a future opportunity.

Following this, he started giving awards to the students who achieved excellence. 12th class meritorious students named Pratiksha from Kolathur, Mahalakshmi from Tirupur, Tambaram Toshitha Lakshmi were facilitated with incentives and awards at the ceremony. Similarly, from the 10th class, meritorious Devadarshini from Dharmapuri district, Sandhya from Oddanchatram city in Dindigul district, Kavya Sri from Erode and Gopika from Ramanthapuram district were awarded awards for their excellence by Thalapathy Vijay.

Thalapathy Vijay suggested students perceive success and failure as equal. The actor will be next seen in the film GOAT.
