Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suryah starrer ‘Jigarthanda Double X’ made its theatrical release in November this year, doing very decent business at the Indian box office. While the lead actors have already received praise for their performance, director Karthik Subbaraj now seems to be on cloud nine as legendary actor-director Clint Eastwood has shown an interest in watching his film. Notably, this happened after a fan requested the veteran Hollywood actor to watch Jigarthanda Double X, which is a tribute to him.
Reacting to the multiple mentions on the X platform, the filmmaker’s team conveyed his interest and commitment to watching the film, stating that he would get to it after completing the shoot of his upcoming new film.

While the filmmaker’s reaction left fans excited and thrilled, director Karthik Subbaraj also couldn’t hold his excitement and happiness as he received the good news. Retweeting the Hollywood legend’s post, Subbaraj wrote, “Wowww….. Feeling So Surreal!! The Legend #ClintEastwood is AWARE of #JigarthandaDoubleX & gonna watch it soon… This film is my heartfelt dedication to Client Eastwood on behalf of Millions of his Fans in India… Can’t wait to hear what he thinks of the film once he does….”
The director also thanked all the fans for reaching out to Eastwood and making this happen.

About Jigarthanda Double X
A prequel to the 2014 blockbuster ‘Jigarthanda’, Jigarthanda Double X features actors Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suryah in the lead roles. The story revolves around how a filmmaker and gangster collaborate on a film. Raghava plays the role of a notorious gangster Allius Caesar who is an avid fan of Hollywood actor Clint Eastwood, exclusively screens Eastwood’s films in his theatre, and himself aspires to become India’s first dark-skinned hero and create Eastwood-style films.
