In the entertainment industry, especially Bollywood, there is a general perception that actors can’t be friends with each other. It has stood the test of time. In an industry where it is normally made to believe that two actresses can’t be friends, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Amrita Arora’s friendship stands apart. The duo bonded during their late teens, and eventually became best friends. Their girl gang now also includes their respective sisters, Karisma Kapoor and Malaika Arora. They party together and also go on trips.
On Malaika’s birthday today, Kareena Kapoor shared three unseen photos with the actress and penned a sweet note for her. In one photo shared by Kareena, her best friend Malaika is playfully posing with a chunky black heeled shoe like a phone. In another picture, they are jokingly holding someone’s leg who is wearing boots, while sharing a laugh. In the third photo, there’s a sweet moment captured where Malaika is hugging Kareena from behind.
Kareena, tagging Malaika on Instagram Stories, wrote, “These three pictures symbolise our love for each other, our sisterhood bond and ofcourse our love for joothaaaas.. love you Malla. Happy birthday gorgeous.”
Malaika’s sister Amrita Arora, too, shared a photo of the Chhaiya Chhaiya girl to wish her on her special day. Tagging her, she wrote on her Instagram stories, “Last seen running towards the last year… Happy birthday my behen! Love youuuuu (sic).”
Malaika is often spotted enjoying weekend gatherings at Kareena’s house, where she is accompanied by her sister Amrita and Kareena’s sister, Karisma. The trio often take off on trips together. Their friendship has grown stronger over the years.
On the work front, Malaika will be seen as a judge on dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 and Kareena recently, who was a part of Singham Returs (2014), is rumoured to be a part of the Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. She also has The Crew with Tabu, and Kriti Sanon in her kitty.
