Sandeep Reddy Vanga ADMITS Faults In Animal's Theatrical Version: 'I Lost Track Of Which...'
Sandeep Reddy Vanga said that he will use extra shots in Animal's OTT version and stick to the original run time of 3 hours 30 minutes.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal is one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. Starring Ranbir Kapoor as the lead, the film was released earlier this month and proved to be a mammoth at the box office. After a superhit theatrical run, the film is about to be released on Netflix. Sandeep Reddy Vanga recently opened up about the OTT version and revealed some interesting details.

Speaking to Komal Nahta, Sandeep said in the theatrical version of the film, there are some faults in the makeup, sound and costumes. Admitting to these faults in the film, Sandeep said, “I don’t know how that happened. Actually, because of the five languages in which it was released, I lost track of which language sound I was checking in Chennai. The last 20 days were horrible. We slept in the mixing room for 3-4 days. I should have stayed a week more there.”

Speaking about correcting these errors in the OTT version of the film, Sandeep said, “I was editing the version because there were some problems in 1-2 shots. I’m using different and a few more shots from the same take. One thing I felt was I should have left the 3 hours 30 minutes instead of 3 hours 21 minutes. I don’t know why I edited those 8-9 minutes. Now, I will be using those 5-6 minutes extra.”

Earlier, Bobby Deol had shared that his character Abrar had a moment where he kissed the film’s hero, Ranvijay, played by Ranbir Kapoor. However, Sandeep Reddy Vanga chose to cut the scene during editing, but it might feature in the OTT version.

Recently, Sandeep explained his decision and shed more light on the kiss. “Yes, actually there was a kiss. Bobby will kiss Ranbir, a kiss on the cheek, and say, ‘Bhai, I didn’t even spend one day with my father’, and he’ll go back and open his zip. It was superb when we were shooting, but I felt like the kiss was diluting the zip. Why I removed it was because Bobby sir gave this expression with a smirk, and a tear falls down his cheek. I felt that was a bigger cinematic high than coming and kissing,” Sandeep told Galatta Plus.
