  • Have soaked raisins:

The expert suggested having a handful (10-15) of raisins, soaked overnight to relieve migraine pains. She claimed that–if consumed consistently for 12 weeks- the raisins could help reduce the overall excess pitta in the body along with aggravated Vata. It can also regulate symptoms associated with migraine like acidity, nausea, irritation, one-sided headache, intolerance to heat, etc.

  • Drink cumin-cardamom tea:

This antioxidant-rich tea is effective whenever migraine symptoms crop up. Try to drink the concoction one-hour post lunch or dinner. The expert explained, “It works best for relieving nausea and stress. Can be had at bedtime, or whenever the symptoms are prominent."

  • Consume cow ghee:

According to Ayurveda," Nothing works better than cow ghee in balancing excess pitta in body and mind." The expert suggested adding ghee in meals in a variety of different ways such as smeared over chapatis or sauteeing vegetables in it.
