'Ek Ajeeb Si Betaabi Hai Tere Bin,': Shikhar Dhawan Shares Heartfelt Post For Son
Shikhar Dhawan’s Instagram post soon went viral and legendary Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh responded to it by sharing a red heart emoji.

Days after Shikhar Dhawan was granted divorce by a Delhi Court, the Indian cricketer has shared a heartfelt for his 10-year-old son Zoravar on social media. Dhawan posted a screenshot of a video call with his son, who is reportedly in Australia right now. In the caption, Dhawan shared lines from a famous poetry written by Gulzar. “Ek Ajeeb Si Betaabi Hai Tere Bin, Reh Bhi Lete Hai Aur Raha Bhi Nahi Jaata,” read the caption. Dhawan was granted divorce on the grounds that the southpaw was subject to cruelty by his estranged wife Aesha. The batter had married Aesha back in 2012. Both Aesha and Zoravar are citizens of Australia.

Dhawan’s Instagram post soon went viral and legendary Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh responded to it by sharing a red heart emoji.

Here are some other reactions.

“One of the strongest man mentally, always seen with a smile, respect,” wrote an Instagram user.

Another person commented, “It’s not just a picture.”

“The legend. Literally a man like you is heaven,” wrote a social media user.

Shikhar had accused his wife Aesha of inflicting mental distress by compelling him into a long-distance marriage. A Family Court Judge Harish Kumar accepted Dhawan’s allegations and in his order stated that Aesha was unable to prove the accusations as untrue.

“He (Dhawan) for no fault of his own had been through immense agony and anguish of living separately from his own son for years. Even though the wife denied the allegation, submitting that though she genuinely wanted to live in India with him, yet she did not choose to contest the claim. The respondent, by conducting herself in the manner, has inflicted such cruelty, agony and trauma on him, that it was impossible for the petitioner to save the marriage,” the court said.

One of Team India’s prolific opening batters, Shikhar Dhawan made his debut in international cricket during an ODI match against Australia in October 2010. In T20Is, Dhawan earned his maiden call up a year later in June against West Indies. The Delhi-born batter represented India for the first time in red-ball cricket against the Aussies in March 2013.

Dhawan, however, is currently facing competition to regain his spot in the national squad and has been out of international cricket in recent times. Dhawan played his last international game against Bangladesh in an ODI back in December last year.
