The Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru (IISc) will close the registration process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 tomorrow, October 5 without late fees. Candidates who have yet to register for the exam can do so by visiting the official website at gate2024.iisc.ac.in. Earlier, the last date to apply for the exam was September 29 but it was later extended to October 5.

The online registration process for GATE 2024 started on August 30. The last date to register with a late fee is October 13. Candidates will be allowed to edit their GATE 2024 application forms from November 7 to November 11. As per the schedule, the exam will be conducted on February 3, 4, 10, and 11 next year. The admit cards will be released on January 3. The answer keys will be issued on February 21 and the result will be declared on March 16.

Candidates who have completed their bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, science, arts, or commerce from a recognised university are eligible to apply. Students in their third year of undergraduate studies can also apply for the exam.

GATE 2024: Steps To Register

Step 1: Go to gate2024.iisc.ac.in.

Step 2: Search and click on the registration link that is on the homepage and enter the required details.

Step 3: Once the registration process is done, log in to the account.

Step 4: Fill out the application form as required and make the necessary payment of the application fees.

Step 5: Cross-check all the details and click on submit.

GATE 2024: Application Fees

Candidates belonging to the general category will have to pay an application fee of Rs 1,800 per paper. Those from the SC, ST, PwD, and female groups categories will have to pay Rs 900 per paper.

There will be a total of 30 test papers available for the GATE. Through the exam, candidates will be able to apply for admission to master’s and doctorate courses in engineering, technology, architecture, science, and humanities at governmental institutions.
