The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conclude the extended application process for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2024 session 2 tomorrow, March 4. Eligible candidates who are yet to apply may do so by visiting the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The second session of JEE Main is going to be held between April 1 to April 15.
“A few representations are being received from the candidates to extend the registration window for online Application of the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – 2024 Session 2 as they are not able to complete their registration due to various unavoidable reasons. To support the students’ community, it has been decided to extend the registration for receiving online Application Forms for Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – 2024 Session 2,” the official notice added.
JEE Main 2024 Session 2: Educational Qualification
Candidates must have secured at least 75 per cent marks in the Class 12 examination or are in the top 20 percentile in the examination conducted by respective boards to be eligible to apply for the exam. In the case of SC, and ST candidates, they must have scored 65 per cent in class 12.
“This opportunity is being provided for all those candidates who applied for JEE (Main) – 2024 Session 1 but could not register for JEE (Main) – 2024 Session 2 earlier as well as for those candidates who want to apply as a fresh candidate for the JEE (Main) – 2024 Session 2,” the NTA said.
JEE Main 2024 Session 2: How to Apply
Step 1: Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Step 2: Select the registration link for JEE Main 2024 session 2 from the homepage.
Step 3: Fill out the registration form. Upload documents.
Step 4: Pay the application fees.
Step 5: Download the acknowledgment form and take a print out for further use.
There will be two papers in JEE Main 2024 session 2 — paper 1 and paper 2. While paper 1 is held for entrance to BE and BTech programmes at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and other institutions or universities, paper 2 is conducted for admission to BArch and BPlanning courses.
