OnePlus 12 Display Confirmed To Be Brighter Than iPhone 15 Pro, Pixel 8 Pro: All Details
OnePlus' next flagship, the OnePlus 12 is going to feature BOE's latest flagship panel with a 2600 nits peak brightness. Here's what you must know.

OnePlus 12 is set to be the company’s next flagship phone–succeeding the OnePlus 11, which launched earlier this year in February. Now, the BBK-owned company has come forward to reveal the display specifications of the device after multiple leaks and rumours have already surfaced about the next mainline flagship by OnePlus.

During OnePlus’ recent conference, it was revealed that the OnePlus 12 will feature a QHD+ (1,440 x 3,168) AMOLED display made by BOE. It will support a peak brightness of 2600 nits–making it brighter than some recent flagships, including the iPhone 15 Pro (2000 nits) and the Pixel 8 Pro (2400 nits). Moreover, the display has received an A+ rating from DisplayMate. This panel is called the ‘X1 Oriental Screen.’

ABOE also stated that the panel would consume 13% less power compared to outgoing OLED panels and is rated to last twice as long compared to traditional OLED panels.

Alongside details about the OnePlus 12, during the joint press conference of OnePlus, Oppo, and BOE, details about the OnePlus Ace’s display were also revealed. It too will feature a BOE panel with an A+ grade certification from DisplayMate, and it, along with the OnePlus 12, will feature Oppo’s P1 display chip.

In other news, the OnePlus 12 is pretty much confirmed to run on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which was unveiled a couple of days ago at the Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii. As for the cameras, not much is known yet, but it should at least have a triple-lens setup with a wide, ultrawide, and telephoto lens. OnePlus is expected to launch the OnePlus 12 sometime between the end of this year and early next year.
