New Delhi: A Delhi court is likely to pronounce order on whether to summon Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde in connection with a defamation suit filed against him for his 'hindu terror' remark.
The petitioner has alleged that the Home Minister had willfully made the remark to create ill will between communities. The petitioner has also alleged that these statements aimed at polarising votes ahead of the 2014 general election.
The court has already recorded the pre-summoning evidence of the petitioner. Shinde had said that the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) were promoting "Hindu terrorism" through training camps. However, he appologised for his statement ahead of the Budget Session after the BJP threatened to disrupt the session if the words were not taken back.
