Actress Neha Pendse and her husband Shardul Singh Bayas have reported a theft of cash amounting to Rs 6 lakhs and jewellery from their residence. The couple filed a complaint with the police, identifying their servant, Sumit Kumar Solanki, as the potential suspect. Neha resides with her husband on the 23rd floor of the Areto Building in Bandra West.
In a detailed complaint, Neha Pendse mentioned that she considers her servant, Sumit Kumar Solanki, as the prime suspect in the theft. The incident came to light on December 28, 2023, and Neha, along with her husband, filed a complaint with the Bandra Police. Ratnesh Jha, the driver employed by Shardul Singh Bayas, also filed a complaint, detailing the missing items, including cash and jewellery such as a diamond-encrusted ring and gold bracelet.
The stolen jewellery, reportedly a wedding gift Shardul received four years ago, was entrusted to the house servant, Solanki, who claimed to have stored it in the bedroom cupboard. Shardul discovered the missing items as he was preparing to leave the house and, upon inquiry, found that none of the household servants knew about the theft. Solanki, who was not at home during the incident, claimed to be at his aunt’s place in Colaba.
Upon questioning, Solanki insisted that he left the jewellery in its designated place, but Shardul could not locate it upon investigation. Suspecting Solanki’s involvement, Shardul requested his prompt return. However, Solanki delayed his return, raising further suspicions. Solanki has now been arrested in connection with the case, although the stolen jewellery has not been recovered.
Neha Pendse has not provided updates on the incident through her social media platforms. On the professional front, she continues to enthral audiences with her acting skills in the television series May I Come In Madam, where she portrays the character of Sanjana Hiteshi.
The investigation into the theft is ongoing, and further updates are awaited as the police delve deeper into the case.
