New Delhi: Amazon has rolled out its Kindle Voyage e-book reader in India for a price of Rs 16,499 for the Wi-Fi variant and Rs 20,499 for the 3G variant.
The latest in line of Amazon's e-book readers, Kindle Voyage is touted as the best of the lot and sports a thinner and lighter body with improved features.
A BGR report noted that the latest e-book reader has flush bezels, improving the overall reading experience. The display is now 300 dpi making the text appear crisper and the saturation has also been improved.
The Amazon Kindle Voyage has a layer of micro-etched glass on top of the display, which the company says is less reflective and feels like touching paper. The screen is front-lit with ambient light sensor so that there is no need to manually change the brightness levels.
The touchscreen display has an added feature called PagePress that lets you go back and forth pages without lifting your thumb or fingers. Long pressing on predefined spots on the bezel allows you to move a page ahead while hitting the dot leads you a page back.
Other e-book readers available in India by Amazon include its basic All New Kindle for Rs 5,999, the Kindle Paperwhite at Rs 10,999 and Kindle Paperwhite 3G for Rs 13,999.
