iPhone Dynamic Island-Like Notch Is Coming To More Budget Android Phones: Should You Be Excited?
iPhones now come with dynamic island notch and it is time for the budget consumers to try out the feature but is it really worth the hype?

We haven’t seen it explode, but 2024 could be the year when the iPhone Dynamic Island becomes a mainstream feature on budget Android smartphones.

Apple has made a habit of introducing features that appeal to the industry. The notch made its debut with the iPhone X lineup that had diversified into water drop and punch hole notches. And last year, Apple once again surprised many by bringing the Dynamic Island to the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, which is offered on all the iPhone 15 and 15 Pro models this year.

It’s not like Android brands haven’t picked up the tab for the island, Realme already showed its interest in the feature with its budget C-series devices. And now, brands like Infinix and Tecno are gearing up for their version of the dynamic notch.

The companies have teased their upcoming products that will have features like Magic Ring. So what is a dynamic island? It is a dynamic notch which gives you status updates like battery charging, incoming call and even offers a music playback shortcut if you use the iPhones.

Most of the focus has been on the premium range these days and even buyers lap it up thanks to appealing finance options which bring their paying costs to a manageable level. But you cannot discount the impact of a budget market, something that we have been hearing lately, and brands seem to be building their 5G armoury for these buyers in the coming months.

Having this feature will mostly feel like a novelty, luxury for some, but don’t discount the appeal that an Apple-induced feature could have on the consumer. In fact, if you search for dynamic island apps on Play Store for Android phones, you would see it has millions of downloads, which means brands might be onto something by bringing the feature natively in the months to come.

What's your reaction?
