Nokia budget 4G feature phones are still quite popular among some consumers and the company is now giving them more reasons to continue using their candy bar phones. We have seen many smart feature phones launch in the market that go one step further and let you access apps like WhatsApp, Facebook and more.
Now, Nokia is bringing cloud apps to its 4G feature phones that let you use apps like YouTube Shorts and BBC News. You must be wondering how cloud apps work on a feature phone, and that’s a good question to ask.
Nokia says it is adding some new features to the Cloud platform that is already present on the Nokia 110 4G and Nokia 106 4G phones. These apps can be accessed once you login to the cloud app using your Google ID.
Those who are not aware, the Nokia feature phones already have the power to make UPI payments using the UPI 123PAY feature built into these devices. Nokia also claims the feature phones can give you weather updates, news and cricket scores. Using 4G mobile data allows these feature phones to watch YouTube Shorts videos, play games like 2048 Game and Tetris among others.
Nokia 106 4G gets a 1.8-inch QVGA display which might not sound big enough to stream videos but we have seen other phones support these features. It runs on the System 30+ OS and you have support for FM Radio, Bluetooth and microUSB port for charging. It packs a 1,450mAh battery. The Nokia 110 4G is available for Rs 2,399 while the Nokia 106 4G comes for Rs 2,199 in the market.
