9-Foot King Cobra Found Hidden In Bedroom; Bone-Chilling Video Goes Viral

A family in Karnataka was left dumbfounded after a giant king cobra was found hidden in their bedroom. The 9-foot-long snake somehow slithered into a wooden box in a loft in the room. Soon after the family spotted the cobra, they sought help from the forest department.

The officials passed the information to the Agumbe Rainforest Research Station (ARRS) after which a team of experts rushed to rescue the snake.

A video featuring the brave rescue operation was shared by field director Ajay Giri, who was part of the ARRS group. They had earlier informed the family and the other villagers to maintain a safe distance from the venomous snake.

“A king cobra (~9ft long) was sighted inside the bedroom of a house. The owner got worried and called in charge forest department officials. ARRS was informed about the situation. Over the call, we instructed locals about do’s and don’ts and rushed to the place,” Giri revealed in the caption of his post.

The video opens with the ARRS officials entering the house and having a close look at the king cobra. One of the team members stepped on the bed and took out the snake with a stick. He then left the room with the cobra and carefully placed it into a black bag.

Once everything was done, Ajay Giri and his team spoke with the family as everyone in the house was visibly terrified. Next, they travelled to a forest where the rescuer freed the cobra and the snake went straight into the bushes.

“The snake was gently bagged. We conducted an onsite awareness program for the local community. Later the snake was released into the wild in the presence of in-charge forest department officials,” Ajay Giri added in his post.

The comment section of the rescue video was flooded with the user’s reaction.

Many viewers were impressed by the “smooth and clean” rescue operation conducted by Ajay Giri’s team.

A few of them could not imagine how the cobra climbed the wall and hid inside the box.

A user expressed his concern for the family and commented, “This might be a scary scene for the home members.” Another user called the rescuer “the best snake handler.”

The clip has created much buzz, accumulating more than 2.2 lakh views.
