After Posting Pics Of Scones With Jam And Cream, UK PM Rishi Sunak Asks 'Guess Where I Am?'
Rishi Sunak, who is campaigning in Cornwall for the upcoming UK Elections 2024, conducted a Q&A session on Instagram.

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak led a Q&A session on Instagram stories while on the campaign trail ahead of the forthcoming UK Elections 2024. On May 29, the Prime Minister started conducting a campaign visit in Cornwall in an attempt to increase support for the struggling Conservative Party in the general election. Sunak even posted a photo of Connor Donnithorne, the Conservative MP candidate for Camborne, Redruth, and Hayle, in the story.

The UK PM posted a photo of scones alongside cream and jam, asking, “Guess where I am?” In the following story, a user predicted that Sunak is in “London”. To which, he replied with a “no”. Another image displays two distinct scones with cream dishes that are placed on a table. Someone replied, “Devon,” here. “Closer,” was the UK PM’s response. In the last story, a user gave the correct response, “Cornwall,” to which Rishi Sunak replied, “Yes!”.

Meanwhile, Sunak was spotted sporting a $952.63 (almost Rs 80,000) backpack while campaigning in one of the country’s poorest districts.

The UK PM was reportedly seen with an opulent Tumi luggage monogrammed with his initials, RS, as he boarded a train headed for Cornwall, according to WION. His campaign for the Conservative Party in the South West of England included a trip to Penzance on the sleeper service, according to the Manchester Evening News.

According to the BBC, he spoke at a train terminal in Penzance about intentions to shut university courses in England that he has branded as ”rip-off degrees” and stated that he was “committed” to balancing funding for Cornwall.

He announced that the government would pay for up to 100,000 more apprenticeships annually in place of college courses, the report added.

Sunak, according to Cornwall Live, was trying to sell his recent pledges of National Service, the “triple lock plus” on pensions and the launch of apprenticeships.

In an attempt to influence voters, Sunak and Sir Keir Starmer, the head of the Labour Party, will be touring the nation in the lead-up to the July 4 election.

Numerous policy announcements are made along the way, such as the Tory proposal to reinstate National Service for all 18-year-olds.

Meanwhile, Starmer appears to have already set foot in Downing Street, if surveys conducted by UK media outlets are to be believed.
