Snakes are unpredictable creatures. Triggered by the slightest movement or perceived threat, the reptile attacks in milliseconds. In some places, especially in the countryside, they slither into human habitation like silent predators. If poisonous, their venom can even cause the death of a person. Snakes are all the more dangerous for their ability to hide in plain sight, taking an individual by surprise. In one scary encounter, a video of a man bit by a snake, wrapped sneakily around a door handle has struck terror in the hearts of the masses.
The spine-chilling clip was shared on YouTube on May 11. The incident occurred at Spartanburg in South Carolina, USA on May 6. The recorded CCTV footage captured a man exiting his house. Once he got out on the porch and closed the door, an unexpected guest lurking nearby greeted him. Upon closer inception, you would be able to spot a black snake coiled around the door handle. As soon as the man pulled the door forward, the reptile raised its hood, shot forward and stung his hand with its sharp fangs. It attacked the man at such a fast pace that he failed to pull away before the disaster.
The man was seen wincing in pain and running away from the spot. “Oh my God, it was a snake right there," he exclaimed, presumably scared. In the concluding minutes, the snake was seen wriggling down the door handle and slithering away. The note accompanying the video read, “It’s snake season here in SC! You’ll be careful, my boyfriend was almost bitten by this snake waiting by the front door."
Social media users were quick to react to the 14-second video of horror. One person wanted to know, “What kind of snake was it?" “Snake: I’ll close the door," read a sarcastic comment.
This is not the first time snakes have invaded human territory. Earlier authorities at the NASCAR racing team’s headquarters at Huntersville in North Carolina, USA found a snake coiled around the doorknob, blocking the entrance and slithering over the handles.
The video was shared on Facebook along with the caption, “NOPE! We need a new race shop. Tear it down, we’re out."
