We have often heard the phrase that love knows no boundaries. One recent story of a woman from America and her Indian lover proves this perfectly. The woman named Naina Kala Paudel reached Bihar’s Kishanganj with her 11-year-old daughter Eunice Biswa. Naina met Neema Tamang through Facebook. The two started chatting on Facebook and that chat slowly turned into love. The love for each other grew so much that the distance could not be tolerated. The two have decided to marry each other. After that, Naina along with her daughter travelled to New Delhi from New York on March 19 to marry Neema Tamang.
On March 21, she reached Bagdogra from New Delhi by flight. From Bagdogra, Naina reached the house of Neema Tamang at Bhatpara Tea Garden, Kalchini in West Bengal. It is said that she travelled 8000 km all the way from New York to India. She then married Neema Tamang on April 13 at Grace Valley Church in Bhatpara. Neema Tamang got a fake Aadhaar card made for Naina Kala Paudel and her daughter Eunice Biswa by paying Rs 10,000 at a shop in Hamiltonganj in the Alipurduar district. On April 21, they reached Nepal via the new bridge at Panitanki with a fake Aadhaar card to spend their honeymoon.
On May 7, when all three were returning to India after their honeymoon, they were intercepted by the BIT personnel of the 41 Corps of SSB stationed at the Pani Tanki border. Naina Kala Paudel is 40 years old, her daughter Eunice Biswa is 11 years old and Neema Tamang is 33 years old.
Naina Kala Paudel, who lives in New York, also has an Indian visa which is valid for five years till 2029. Her daughter Eunice Biswa’s visa, on the other hand, is valid only till March 20, 2025. After taking necessary action, the SSB handed over the American mother, daughter and Neema Tamang to the Kharibari police. The police produced the American mother-daughter and Neema Tamang before the Siliguri court and sought five days’ remand. The police have started taking further action in the case.
