Watch: Child Mistakes Snake For Twig, Father’s Presence Of Mind Saves Him

Snakes are commonly acknowledged to be among the most dangerous and venomous reptiles. People are generally afraid of them and strive to avoid a confrontation with the creature. Many snake videos have gone viral on social media, showcasing how courageous wildlife enthusiasts interact with them. Sometimes these videos also show how many people and kids have unintentional encounters with the scary creature. Recently, a video went viral on the net showcasing a fatal confrontation between a toddler and a snake.

In the viral video, a toddler can be seen playing with a black dog in the garden. They were indulging in a game of fetch with a twig when the incident unfolded. While the dog was running here and there to fetch the twig thrown by the child, the latter unknowingly picked up a snake crawling near a tree, mistaking it for a playing object. The child threw it towards the dog, and it ran to fetch it. The father gradually discovers that it was a snake and throws it away. The dog jumped away from it and the child also was at a distance later.

Viewers have a wide range of reactions. One of them said, “Kids do the darndest thing”

Many others pointed out how the father acted efficiently to save the kid, “Dad overcomes the fear and grabs the snake without screaming,” “Panic mode kicked the shit out of that dad,” “I wouldn’t have been able to remain calm.”

Some commended the dad for his presence of mind too, “Its the silent panic cause if you outwardly panic it makes the child panic too.”

But among many who appreciated the father, some also criticised his lack of attention to the child. One user stated, “How about paying attention to your sin with your eyes instead of through a lens.”

Meanwhile, many wildlife enthusiasts were eager to know more about the reptile, “What kind of snake was that can anyone tell.” A user answered saying, “Its a harmless black racer..kid could’ve played with it all day long and been fine.”
