Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai, which is considered one of the busiest airports nationwide, is soon going to give big relief to international flyers. The airport is all set to expand the flight operation, providing more flight options on international routes.
It has been reported that the CSIA will now operate a total of 975 flights, covering 115 different international destinations on a daily basis.
Mumbai Airport Winter Season Flight Operation Plan
The report says the decision has been taken to improve the flight operation at the airport ahead of the winter season, which is scheduled to start from October 29, and remain the same until March 30, 2024.
Here’s What Authorities Says
While confirming the news, the airport authority released an official statement saying “The winter schedule will witness new destinations offering more than 975 daily flight movements experiencing around an 8 per cent increase vis-a-vis winter schedule of 2022, with an impressive connectivity offering connecting travellers to 115 different destinations.”
As per the statement, the airport authorities will expand flight operations, providing service on new routes as well. It is expected that the authorities might start the direct flight service on some of the international routes including Indonesia’s Bali and Almaty in Kazakhstan. In order to put these routes on the list, the passengers will be facilitated by Air Canada and Azerbaijan Airlines from the airport.

According to the information shared in the release official by authorities, it says “Passengers travelling to and from Mumbai now have access to a range of thrilling vacation destinations, including Entebbe, Lagos, and various other enticing African destinations. Travellers can choose from a variety of destinations, including tropical destinations such as the Maldives, the vibrant cities of He Chi Minh and Hanoi in Vietnam, the idyllic islands of Mauritius and Seychelles, and Tokyo for a blend of winter sun and urban adventures.”
