Raipur: Low cost carrier Air Deccan on Thursday announced launch of new flights to Chhattisgarh from New Delhi, Mumbai and Bhubaneswar beginning in November.
Air Deccan's Principal Sales and Marketing Officer Samyukth Sridharan said that Mumbai-Raipur flight would commence operations from November 2, while Delhi-Raipur via Bhubaneswar flight would be started on November 20.
The 180-seater Airbus A320 aircraft would be deployed on both routes. Air Deccan already connects Raipur with Kolkata and Ranchi.
He said the company visualised the possibility of heavy passenger traffic as Chhattisgarh was fast emerging as a major centre of agro-commercial business and trade.
Stating that Air Deccan offered dynamic pricing on its entire seat inventory, Sridharan said the pricing was a function of demand and supply of seats at any given point of time. The earlier one books the lesser one pays.
He said Air Deccan was India's fastest growing low cost airline and the second largest airline with a market share of 21.2 per cent in June this year.
Air Deccan operates 270 flights a day covering 56 airports. It operates new 14 Airbus A320 aircrafts.
