The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is making quick progress in giving young people jobs. The Chief Minister has opened the door for the younger generation following the 60,000 constable recruitment exam held by the Uttar Pradesh Police. CM Yogi has directed that all open positions in the state, including Naib Tehsildar and Tehsildar, be filled as soon as feasible.

In a recent event, State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that over 40,000 recruits will join the Uttar Pradesh Police in the next six months. The hiring procedure for it will shortly begin. During an event held at Lok Bhavan, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated on the UP Police Recruitment Examination that it is likely the first time in history that a civil police force examination of this magnitude has been conducted simultaneously and without incident anywhere in the globe.

UP Police Recruitment Process

CM Yogi Adityanath announced 2 lakh new hires during this government initiative where 1 lakh of these hires will be made this year, and the remaining 1 lakh will be made the following year.

Of these, one lakh positions are exclusively for the police force, with twenty per cent of the positions going to female applicants solely. These one lakh police recruitments comprise the 60,244 police constable positions that are currently being filled; forty thousand more positions will become available after this round is over.

CM Yogi Adityanath also commended the Prevention of Unfair Means in Public Examination Act-2024 during the event. He claimed that the appointment process has been made transparent as a result of its proper implementation. Candidates who missed applying in the 60,244 recruitments released this time or were not chosen would directly get a chance from the new 40 thousand recruitments entering the UP Police Department.

UP Police Recruitment: Exam Pattern and Eligibility

The candidate must have completed their 12th grade to apply for the position of UP Police Constable. Aside from this, the candidate’s age range should be 18 to 25. Applicants from designated categories are exempt from the maximum age. In addition, one unique feature is that young people from any state are eligible to apply to become UP Police Constables. The applicant does not need to live in Uttar Pradesh to apply for these positions.

For this, the written exam has been completed. Those who pass this exam will now be invited to a physical examination. Over 50 lakh applicants had submitted applications for these positions, yet, over 6 lakh applicants withdrew from the test. The unique aspect of this is that applications for the UP Police Constable Recruitment came from states other than Uttar Pradesh.
