How to Have Fun While Sleeping Naked
How to Have Fun While Sleeping Naked
Do you enjoy sleeping in the buff? Many do, finding it helps them to sleep better. If that is true of yourself, perhaps your routine has been to remain clothed until just before getting into bed. But if you find sleeping naked very freeing and comfortable, why not try spending some time before bed in your birthday suit as well? If your circumstances allow for it, it can make sleeping naked just that much more fun.
Steps

Preparing Your Sleeping Area

Make your room private. While your body is a miracle in and of itself, your neighbors likely will not appreciate seeing it all exposed. To avoid being the center of a neighborhood scandal, ensure to cover any windows. Doing so will also help to keep your bedroom dark which in turn promotes a better sleep.

Set up a comfy spot in the bedroom to wind down in. It's recommended to avoid getting into bed until you're ready to fall asleep. Instead, choose a spot in your room where you can relax. Arrange it with pillows, throws and other soft surfaces so that it's as comfortable as can be. If you prefer to relax in bed before going to sleep, you can follow this step for your bed instead.

Make or buy a sign to put on the bedroom door. This is a simple way to have some fun with your lack of sleep attire. If you're feeling artistic, you might consider making your own sign, such as one that says things like: "Beware The Shaved Ape" or "Warning: Shame-Free Zone". Or, you could purchase one. Once you've dressed down and are getting into your bedtime routine, simply place the sign on your bedroom door. If you share your home with others and don't want to announce to them that you're sleeping naked, you could put the sign on the side of the door that faces inside your room instead.

Choose your bedding. With your whole body in contact with the sheets, this is an opportunity to try out different fabrics, such as cotton, bamboo or linen. Although you might decide to go for something fun pattern-wise, prioritize what you think will feel good against your skin. With comfort in mind, it's recommended to choose sheets with a thread count between 200 and 400. As it's suggested to change your bed linen more often when sleeping naked, consider different sets which you can swap out. This will help to keep your bed clean as well as make the sheets last longer. Although you don't need to fear the retribution of the Fab Five and can choose whatever bedding you like, it is recommended to go for calming colors.

Changing Up Your Bedtime Routine

Decide when to get naked. This is always a fun part of the day, whenever it happens to be. If you live by yourself you'll likely have more flexibility in this area. For example, if you usually bathe before bed, you might choose to forgo clothes starting from this time. If you live with others, you might have to restrict your nudity to when you are in your bedroom.

Invite your partner to join you. If you share the bed with your partner, be sure to communicate with them regarding this change to your bedtime routine. If they also sleep naked they might be more open to it but regardless of their sleepware preference, don't pressure them to join you. Be a polite naked person.

Make the bed. Making the bed while naked is a great way to experience the freedom of movement that comes with being clothes-free. As you move the pillows, sheets and other items, feel the air circulate around your body. This can also be a good time to switch out your sheets with a different set. That way, you can make your bed and change the bedding all in one go.

Set aside clothing for later. It might seem a bit contradictory to be thinking about clothes when your goal is to not wear any. However, moving around while you put together your outfit for the next day is another way to feel the freedom of not wearing anything. You can also use this time to set aside a bathrobe, dressing gown or even a large towel or blanket to cover up with in case you need to step outside the room. This is just a common courtesy if you live with others—don't push your nudity upon anyone. Something to cover up with is also a good idea, even if you live alone, in case of cold temperatures.

Relax and wind down for day. Do something that will help you to relax. You might choose to read a book, listen to music or chat with your partner. Really, it's up to you.

Get into bed and drift off to sleep. While these instructions are meant to promote some enjoyment in sleeping naked, the ultimate goal is to have a good night's sleep. Once the feeling of drowsiness has set in, it's time to turn off the lights and fall asleep.

What's your reaction?
