HYDERABAD: Banjara Hills police on Saturday arrested two intermediate students involved in 62 chain snatching cases. Police seized 107 tola gold ornaments worth Rs 33 lakh and a bike.. Banjara Hills police with the assistance of central crime station police arrested two intermediate students in connection with chain snatching cases. Another co-accused is absconding. The accused are, 22-year-old Syed Omar Pasha alias Afroz Pasha, studying intermediate at MS Junior College Salibanda, resident of old city and 22-year-old Zuber Khan, studying intermediate at Gouthami Junior College, resident of Moosarambagh. Another accused Mohammed Ali is being traced. S Prabhakar, SI Banjara Hills police said they arrested Syed Omar Pasha and Zuber Khan who were riding bike at Banjara Hills on Saturday. During interrogation they confessed that they were involved in snatchings.. He said one of the accused, Mohammed Ali who is Omar Pasha's uncle conducts recees at temples, function halls and isolated places and intimates Omar Pasha and Zuber Khan. while Syed Omar Pasha was the driver Zuber Khan's was the hand that snatched the chains from women. They said they were involved in the offence between 5.30 a.m. and 6.30 a.m. at different parts of the city everyday. The accused confessed that they were involved in the offences to enjoy a lavish life style. They specialised in targeting old women in isolated places.
