Ahmedabad: A gang of thieves on Tuesday took away an ATM machine loaded with around Rs 20 lakh from Maninagar area, police said. "Instead of bothering to open the ATM machine and take away the cash, thieves decamped with the entire machine belonging to SBI," they said.
The incident happened early on Tuesday morning, they said, adding that the ATM outlet had no security guard and the CCTV cameras installed there were non-functional.
The thieves also tried to cart another ATM machine installed in the same premises but failed to uproot it from the ground, they added.
