BANGALORE: The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has recovered its property in the Bhoopsandra area of Bangalore North Taluk, Kasaba Hobli after a High Court ruling in their favour.The sites were encroached, thereby leading to demolition of several unauthorised sheds.An area of 13,500 sq ft was recovered and property worth Rs 7.5 crore has been reinstated under the BDA.It has been fenced as well.Of the recovered property, 44 sites have been allotted to the public.The assistant executive engineer of the area for the BDA, Vishwanath, said, “After the ruling, we have occupied the area and have removed all encroachments from here.It is now a layout but I don’t know if high rise buildings or residential houses will come up here.It was undertaken smoothly without any obstructions.” The operation was carried out under the guidance of the Superintendent of Police (SP), engineer officer 2 and executive engineer (north division) and the BDA task force.The local police also extended their co-operation.
