BANGALORE: Two bike borne miscreants duped a woman of her 55 gram gold chain on the pretext of seeking blessings. The incident took place at a provision store near Ganesha temple on G M Road in Thyagarajanagar police station limits on Tuesday morning.
Boramma (52) is the victim who has lost her chain. When the latter was alone in the store, two youth came to the shop and asked her for a cigarette pack and gave her a note of `100. When she was searching for the change, the miscreants said her that they were starting a gold business and asked her to bless them by touching the note to her gold chain. Misled by them, the woman took out her chain and wrapped it in the currency. Meanwhile, the miscreants took it and put it back in the cash box and left the scene. After they left, Boramma searched for the chain and learnt that she was cheated, the police said.
