Kolkata: A crude bomb exploded in a deserted house in the Dumdum park area of Kolkata on Sunday afternoon, killing one man and injuring another person.
The incident, which occurred around 1300 hrs, IST, is said to be an accident and not a ‘planned terrorist attack’.
Sources say two men were in the house making crude bombs when one of the bombs exploded, killing one and injuring the other man. The house is suspected to be a hideout where bombs were being manufactured.
The police have not recovered any more bombs from the house and the injured man is yet to interrogated. The identity of the dead man is yet to be ascertained.
