KOCHI: The Video CD of ‘De Maveli Kombathu’, an all-time laughter treat for Malayalis, is all set for release this Onam season too. Comedian Nadirshah, who played a key role behind the video, has arrayed as many as 30 artists including super stars at different segments of the video. Actors Mammootty, Suresh Gopi, Jagathy, Jayasurya, and Suraj Venjaramoodu make their appearances in the introductory part. Actors like Dileep, Bala, Salim Kumar, Harisree Ashokan, Mamukoya, Jaffer, Kalabhavan Navas, Saju Kodiyan, Kottayam Nazeer, Muktha, Beena Anthony, Thesni Khan, Subi are also cast. “De Maveli Kombathu will be a real treat of parody songs dealing with the current issues told in humour,” said Nadirshah. From the past 20 years Malayalis worl-wide have welcomed ‘De Maveli Kombathu’. It was a trendsetter. Nadirshah has tried to put in two new themes into the programme, one was Maveli’s visit to Kerala during Onam and another was the return of evergreen hero Jayan. Maveli delivering dialogues in actor Innocent’s voice was also in vogue.‘De Maveli Kombathu’ is being released in collaboration with Western Union, event management companies of Dubai like Benchmark and Ad Play. Nadirshah, director of De Maveli Kombathu, actors Bala, Harishri Ashokan, Habib Rahman, M D of Benchmark (Doha) and director Aftab were present in the press conference.
