As the nation is celebrating 78th Independence Day with grandeur and patriotic fervor, Delhi Traffic Police issued an advisory to avoid inconvenience to commuters in key areas of the city especially near Red Fort where Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the national flag.
In view of the Independence Day festivities, several major roads in central Delhi will be subject to traffic restrictions from 4 am to 10 pm on Thursday. These measures are designed to manage crowd and enhance security around Red Fort where the celebrations are taking place.
On the occasion of the Independence Day, more than 3,000 traffic police personnel will be deployed to regulate the traffic and will be deployed at major junctions across the national capital, and also on roads connecting the border to the Red Fort.

- Outer ring road from ISBT to IP flyover i.e. Salimgarh Bypass
