New Delhi: The Chinese foreign ministry has rejected spying charges against three Chinese nationals who were arrested on the Indo-Nepal border on Monday.
The trio including a woman was caught taking photographs of the Sashastra Seema Bal paramilitary force at a checkpost on the Indo-Nepal border.
The three claimed they had arrived in a vehicle till the border, parked it there and then entered Indian territory on foot. The Chinese government has however denied all these charges. The Chinese government has said they were tourists not spies.
The Chinese foreign ministry has rejected spying charges against Chinese nationals arrested earlier this week by Indian police along the country's land border with Nepal, saying they have entered India "by mistake."
Indian police said on Wednesday that they had arrested three Chinese nationals on Monday in Uttar Pradesh.
They were presented before a local court on Tuesday following which they were sent to judicial remand for 14 days.
