New Delhi: Former Indian cricket team skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni's wife Sakshi made her displeasure public after his Aadhaar details were allegedly leaked on Twitter by CSC e- governance.
The agency has been tasked to handle Aadhaar registrations.
After the registration form of Dhoni was made public, Sakshi tagged Union Minister of Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad in a series of tweets.
Is there any privacy left? Information of Aadhar card including application is made public property. I am disappointed, she asked.
Sakshi took on Prasad saying Dhoni’s personal information was leaked by the agency appointed for taking personal information. A picture containing personal details of MS Dhoni was uploaded on the official twitter handle of CSC e-governance, agency for facilitating services like registration of Aadhar.
Sakshi, who came across the tweet, immediately tweeted to Prasad. Prasad immediately took note and thanked her for bringing it to his notice.
Reacting to the incident, Congress leader Digvijaya Singh said that the leak was shameful. Prasad should apologise immediately and issue another Aadhaar card to Dhoni. His wife Sakshi is fully justified to be angry and upset, he said.
Meanwhile, Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) which is responsible for Aadhar has responded to the leak of Dhoni’s details and has said that action has been taken.
“The centre that leaked the Aadhaar receipt of cricketer MS Dhoni has been blacklisted for 10 years. Further inquiry is ongoing," UIDAI CEO said.
