KOCHI: The Dosa Fest here now lets you taste North, South and Continental flavours all rolled in to one and that too at an affordable price.  The fest, which will end on Sunday, is conducted by Bharat Tourist Home (BTH) near North End and is truly a fiesta for the taste buds.  Chettinadu dosa, spring roll masala dosa, paneer cheese masala, neer dosa, cucumber dosa are some of the delicacies on offer. The 12 varieties of dosas are good enough to satisfy any gourmet’s palettes.The chettinadu dosas and the spring roll masala dosas have greater demand and to spice it up, these “redefined masala dosas” are priced between Rs 35 and Rs 45. An organiser of the fest said, “Masala dosas, which embodies the taste of South, have never ceased to lure people. So, we made an attempt to bring different flavours to it.”     He said different masalas are added for each dosas. “Chettinadu dosa is spicy whereas there are other dosas which are not as spicy. Neer dosa is very thin and it is made of boiled rice.”To top it off, he said these dosas are served with chutney, sambhar, grated coconuts and jaggery as side dishes.Sivaprasad, who came with his family to BTH, said he was very happy after relishing the dosas. “I bought a spring roll masala dosa. I felt as if I was eating fried rice and chilli gopi. It really had a different taste,” he said. On the prices, Sivaprasd said, “If you want to relish an international cuisine, you have to pay big for it. But at a very affordable price, you can have it here in the form of masala dosa.”Nisi, a frequent visitor of BTH, said she found the spring roll masala dosa very healthy. “It has vegetables and pulses, which are good for health,” she said.
