Evictees panel to hold meet

KOCHI: Justice V R Krishna Iyer will inaugurate a get-together organised by the coordination committee of evictees to express gratitude to those who helped to make the Moolampilly rehabilitation package a reality. The meeting will be held at Menaka Junction at 4 pm on Monday. In a statement, the committee pointed out that the rehabilitation package will benefit 326 families, who were evicted for the road and rail connectivity projects for the International Container Transshipment Terminal project at Vallarpadam. Senior Congress leader V M Sudheeran and bishop Sebastian Edayanthrath will speak and coordination committee general convener Francis Kalathunkal will preside over the meet.
