Freedom walk in solidarity staged

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: City-based Centre for Film Gender and Cultural Studies staged a ‘freedom walk’ on Thursday night here proclaiming solidarity with Thasni Bhanu, an IT professional who was abused and assaulted by a group of miscreants at midnight in Kochi three days ago.The walk began from Martyrs’ Square, Palayam, at 10 p.m. and the group converged in front of the Secretariat.A painting exhibition on the topic ‘women - fight and defence’ by Shanto Antony, staging of street drama and poetry recitation were also organised in connection with the freedom walk.
