Hyderabad: After Bangalore, Hyderabad seems to figure on the terror radar.
The Andhra Pradesh police on Monday defused over five bombs systematically planted in various parts of the city.
They also arrested a Pakistani intelligence agent Syed Haji on charges of possessing two bombs, one of which was kept in a lunch box and the other hidden inside a cellphone.
Following the arrest, the city has been put on high alert. The police has issued warning and has advised people to remain on guard.
"There are many other people who are on our suspect list and the investigations are on." A K Mohanty, Hyderabad Police Commissioner said.
The incident comes close on the heels of the terror attack on the Indian Institite of Science (IISc) in Bangalore.
According to intelligence inputs, IT hubs were on the hitlist of various terror outfits like Lashkar-e-Toiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad.
